Push Email or WTF email!

Whenever i used to read about Push Email technology in the news, websites or magazines, i always thought of it as a over-hyped useless technology. I realised that i was wrong, when i bought Sony Ericsson M600i in January’07. The first time i took look at its specs and found it also had something called Push Email. I was not aware what it actually meant. So i had to find more about it from the web.

So i dug up some information. Here is the summary:

1. Email is basically pushed from server to server till the destination server is reached. Only from our mail server to our PC it is pulled i.e. your software has to check and retrieve new mails.
2. You dont need to be an corporate user to have this instant mail notification thing. Anyone can need it.
3. You dont have to pay a bomb to get this facility.
4. It is fun to have it cos you will always get in touch.

यह गूगल कि ट्रांसलेशन सर्विस है। और यह बहुत अच्छी तरह से काम कर रही है। मैंने कोई और सोफ्त्वारे नहीं इंस्टाल किया है। यह सब ब्लॉगर.कॉम के एडिटर में हो रहा है। और इस का शब्द कोष भी काफी बड़ा है । गलती की गुंजाईश भी काफी कम है। और भी मज़ा आ जाये अगर यह पंजाबी में शुरू हो जाये।

Finally!

Finally i found a well featured service for blogging. Blogger.com was nice and fast but i felt that it was too low on features. WordPress seems to have nice set of features and i think it will stay on this service for a long time.
